Medieval city-building game for PC
Manor Lords is a premium strategy title for PC by game developer Slavic Magic. It is a real-time city-building game with a medieval theme to it. In it, players will be able to experience a gridless and organic building experience that allows them to plan and create however they want.
Manor Lords is similar to other titles like Age of Empires IV or Cities: Skylines in gameplay mechanics. What makes it unique in its own right is how it lets players approach the game in any way they choose, completely free form and without any kind of building restrictions.
Is the game any good?
In a nutshell, Manor Lords is a medieval city builder that incorporates deep strategic gameplay with a gridless and freeform approach to building. You will have full freedom over your placement of various structures and fixtures utilizing a snap-on system that allows for greater flexibility while still making it easy to order and line things up—easier planning and visualization as you go along.
The game also boasts of an organic building experience for how you play is affected by external factors like the growth of villages and the economy of surrounding settlements. They add a level of variability and challenge to the game as you progress. Add to that, the various chores and actions that you need to perform, such as plowing fields and herding livestock, makes for an authentic and immersive time.
What’s more, you’ll be able to experience and engage in skirmishes and large-scale battles as you tread new lands and face other lords and their territories. Do note, however, that as of this writing, the game is still in Early Access. Also, its developer has no exact date yet for the official release of the full game. Considering this was made by a single person, though, it’s understandable.
