Take The Journey Of A Lifetime

Journey is an indie adventure game first released in 2012 and now has a mobile port on iOS. You get to play as a robed figure wandering the vast ancient ruins of this strange desert land. The peak of a mountain looms in the distance and it will seem to be your ultimate goal of reaching it. Your character doesn’t have any visible hands but only a trailing magical scarf that will allow you to briefly fly. You have to explore the world left behind after a war and discover the secrets of the land to reach the mountain. Along the way, you can encounter other players in robed figures who can help you. Journey has no text aside from the title screen and the credits, so you can only communicate by “singing.” Despite its short length and lack of harder gameplay elements, though, Journey won several awards after its release, praised for its evocative silent story and breathtaking soundtrack. This is a highly recommend title to try on your phone.
