Free MAGA alternative to Twitter

Gettr is a social networking application launched by Jason Miller, the former spokesman of former US President Donald Trump. This app offers an alternative to popular platforms of today. It is free to download and use and comes with a quick sign-up process

However, long-time Twitter users will recognize the uncanny resemblance. Although new social apps take inspiration from the social media powerhouse, Gettr took more than inspiration. The layout almost looked identical with a few modifications. More, you can even choose to import copies of your Twitter content—and even followers—to the app.

What will you get from Gettr?

Gettr is an app launched as an alternative to Twitter and Facebook, which have banned Donald Trump from their platform. And as it is created by Team Trump, this app allows users to share messages and videos that support the former US president and his political allies. However, although developed and released by his supporters, Trump is, surprisingly, not a user of the app.

Getting started with Gettr is easy and only requires an email address. With this, you can get on to the platform quickly. However, it can also mean a breach in the safety protocol as it comes with lax verification. Once launched, you will find that the app looks almost exactly like Twitter. Everything is identical to the platform that exiled Trump, from the timeline layout to the icons and options.

Unlike Twitter, however, Gettr users can post messages up to 777 characters. They can also share three-minute videos in addition to hosting live sessions. What’s more surprising is that you can choose to import the contents from your Twitter page. Additionally, you can somehow magically import your actual Twitter followers. While this may be good for long-time Twitter users who are thinking of switching, it can lead to legal implications.

Twitter twin

Overall, Gettr is your typical social media alternative. However, even at first glance, all users can tell that it is a Twitter knock-off. Everything in the app is a copy of the popular microblogging platform, from the design to usage. More than that, the app also seemed to scrap data off Twitter as it lets you import copies of the content and even followers.
