A new farming game has arrived flush with new graphics and physics engine. Farming Simulator 15 offers an immerse open world filled with details and visual effects that makes previous simulators look like cheap film sets. This game app is set to transport the Farming Simulator franchise to a new era.
Bigger Environments, New Activities
As with other Farm Simulator games, Farm Simulator 15 lets you own and manage a farm. From harvesting to animal husbandry and sales of fresh products, this app offers you a variety of tasks you can surely enjoy. Your game begins with an optional tutorial that will take you through the basic controls of every skill. Once you get the hang of it, you will be left on your own to start managing your farm.
Farm Simulator 15 offers two farm locations. You can manage hundreds of acres of land in the new Nordic environment or across the renovated North American soil. The game also lets you use and drive more than 140 authentic vehicles and farming tools from over 40 most famous manufacturers, including 20 new brands.
This new equipment includes a selection of tools and vehicles that will be of big help in the game’s new activity, which is wood cutting. That’s right. Farming Simulator 15 is no longer only about tilling the soil and taking care of your livestock. You can now experience cutting woods for logs.
The idea of Farming Simulator 15 is to farm your land, earn money, and invest in more machinery and fields, so you can keep earning and expanding. You can buy all these additions in the in-game shop.
New Face, Same Action
While the game offers a new environment and activity, the essence of Farming Simulator 15 remains unchanged. The new physics engine went through a transformation but not greatly so. Vehicles are now easier to control, and they have dynamically displayed the additional keys you need for each one’s various functions.
Driving between farms also feels livelier than the previous versions with more traffic and pedestrians. However, the effect of these additional details does not last long. For one, the pedestrians will not try to avoid you, and they can pass through your vehicle as if they are ghosts. Other traffic, like cars and vans, also tends to be almost unstoppable objects, against which your farming equipment will just bounce. None of the vehicles and farming equipment has any damage modeling so even if you hit other vehicles you will remain undamaged. If you reach the edge of the map, you will hit a wall.
However, while the game physics requires more improvement, the graphics are a different story. Vehicles do look better with more details and better animation. The environment also underwent a facelift with details such as swaying grasses, waterfalls, and trees that are far better than the cardboard cutouts of the past. The sound effects and countryside background noise also are something to rave about as it adds a more farm-like feel to the game.
Your Classic Simulator Re-Defined
Farming Simulator 15 may not have a major change in its gameplay, but the few improvements on some of the game aspects make it worth checking out. The game is bigger and prettier with new environments and enhanced graphics. These changes added with the classic game mechanics are enough to convert gamers to a virtual agrarian lifestyle.
