Have fun with the 2006 World Cup
With the World Cup beckoning many people will be sitting about getting restless at the prospect of watching their team go all the way. Instead of fretting nervously why not engage in some football-related fun to pass the time? This addictive little game is based on the classic ‘Top Trumps’ or ‘War’ and sees you pit your wits against the computer in a tactical battle involving all 32 countries in the finals.
Although many of the features are limited in this particular version, 32 Cards proves to be a highly enjoyable way to kill a few minutes. There is a series of neat, non-annoying sounds effects to accompany the action and each time you play you get to learn a little more about the teams set to play in Germany. Unlike the real version of the classic game, there’s no way to see what cards are currently in your ‘hand’, so there’s no way to cheat, although this isn’t a bad thing if you’re used to playing by the rules!
Overall, this is a great way to work out who the most powerful sides at this year’s tournament will be, although it probably won’t come as much of a surprise to tell you holding the Brazil card means you’re likely to do quite well.
