Free sea exploration and fantasy game

There’s so much to discover about the ocean yet, just a portion of it has been discovered. At any point, the sea is a deep, gloomy, dangerous place to be. What Lives Below is a macOS PC game that challenges these fears with its endless, procedurally generated ocean. The game assigns you as the lone fisherman who, unknown to him, is about to meet the gods of the sea. Be prepared for a fast-paced boss-rush game where something could happen.

How long can you survive stranded at sea?

What Lives Below is an independent developer’s nautical-themed survival game. It’s still in a stage of early development, but what it delivers at the moment is extremely poor. Other than the backstory, the whole game depends on the choices or actions. This underlines the horror of not understanding what’s out there. If there was something dangerous in the sea, you’re curious how bad it might be. Yeah, things might get pretty bad.

First, you’re all alone in the middle of the ocean. There are weapons all over the ship that can help you fight off the big predators, but they can only go so far. Second, the gods of the sea have woken up, and you’re headed straight to them. There are 4 Leviathans in all. Otherwise known as bosses, these spawn procedurally. Just like the real ocean, creatures can appear in various locations.

The game is followed by traditional desktop controls. W, A, S, and D letters are assigned to the activity while E is assigned to the contact. Using the left and right-click to start using instruments like a harpoon. You will also use numbers 1, 2, and 3 to switch tools. You will get out of trouble easily with its basic controls. The game will hopefully add more resources and more modification opportunities as its development continues.

Fear and horror on a more intense scale

What Lives Below is evidence that the unseen can be a lot more frightening than what is seen. The procedurally built gameplay keeps you on your toes, and the minimal controls make it easy to jump back from a peaceful night at sea to a fight for your life with a boat-sized sea dweller. As the game is already at its stage of growth, there is a chance for weapons to expanded and the bosses to increase.
