A free handy video player
VideoScenePlayer is a free video program that allows you to open and watch multiple videos simultaneously. Developed by Noriyuki Higa, this is a multimedia software that supports popular video formats and multiple monitor setups—although don’t expect advanced settings to be present here.
Unlike VLC Media Player, VideoScenePlayer is just a simple and fast video player that’s meant to be easy to use for all. Thus, only the most essential of features and controls can be accessed here. Fortunately, however, it has a unique feature that most of its rivals don’t offer.
Highly user-friendly
When it comes to features, VideoScenePlayer covers the most basic of them. From the usual playback controls—like play, pause, stop, rewind, and forward—to important aspects of the video file—such as the playback position, volume, and window size—this program lets you have easy access to them. It’s not too hard to use them, however, you should expect the lack of advanced settings here.
This means that it can’t really compete with the best video players around. Basic controls aside, though, this software is compatible with multiple monitors and most of the video formats commonly used. This allows it to easily play multiple videos all at once—opening windows for each of them that you add. Additionally, it has a cool feature called “Glass Mode” that can turn a video transparent.
Using a slider, you can freely set its opacity level. The purpose of this is to let other programs be interactive while it’s playing, so you can work on other things while having it play at the forefront or on the side of your screen. However, it can be disorienting at times so it’s recommended to not use it in fullscreen mode.
Badly needs settings
Overall, VideoScenePlayer is a great alternative to other video players if you want a video player that can play more than one video at the same time. You can set it to multiple monitors and even use its transparency feature with your preferred opacity level. However, don’t expect any settings for audio, graphics, codecs, and the like, as this software only offers basic functions.
