Share files via Twitter
Twitter addicts will have noted that the only true thing missing from the microblogging service is file transfers.
Twittershare makes this possible and as easy as drag and drop.
The service which is a Web UI can also be used as a Dashboard Widget (the one we are reviewing). Once you’re logged in to your Twitter account all you have to do is type in a message, drag and drop your file into the widget window and press the Twittershare button.
You’re only limited to 10 MB, which isn’t much, but at least it’s a start. Twittershare will store the file on the Phoreo website and it will be available to anybody who follows you on Twitter.
Hopefully in the future, you’ll be able to send larger files and to a select group of users. For the time being, Twittershare is a handy addon to have to start sharing with your Twitter buddies.
Share pictures, music, video, and other files with friends using Twitter. You can share just about anything that’s 10 megs or less. There’s nothing to sign up for – just a Twitter account.
Direct messages, replies, and regular tweets are all fine. Do not share private files! Like TinyURL links, there is no protection on posted content.
