An interactive museum game

The Zium Gallery is a free simulation game that was created by The Zium Society for desktop devices. It serves as a showcase for various artworks and setpieces that were developed in collaboration with multiple small and independent artists from around the world for people to view their creations.

The Zium Gallery’s concept is similar to that of The VR Museum of Fine Art game. The latter is a great way for players to experience a VR-based tour of the said exhibit. Meanwhile the former is meant to support and promote works made by independent and lesser-known artists.

An art showcase

To put it simply, The Zium Gallery is essentially a digital art showcase to help promote the works of various independent artists from all over the world. As of this writing, the simulation game features creations from a total of 24 artists of varying themes, art styles, and mediums. It allows you to view and/or freely explore any specific exhibit as it was intended by its creator.

Each of the 24 artists that were involved in the gallery also served as a tester and collaborator throughout the entire development process. This ensured that the presentation and experience would be consistent and what each one had envisioned. Also, each artwork that is featured in the game was specifically created to be included in it as part of the self-funded The Zium Project.

Speaking of The Zium Project, the app will mark the first time that anyone will be able to make a donation (of any amount) if they want to. This will help in funding projects and other undertakings in the future. As for the game itself, it offers a relaxing and immersive experience that is more akin to a virtual tour than a simulation game.

Taking in the sights

In conclusion, The Zium Gallery is a nice simulation game that is as much about providing a virtual museum experience to players as it is about the artists that were involved in it. It’s the next best thing to being able to actually go to an exhibit, without having to leave the comforts of your home. Check it out and see for yourself.
