All the fun of work in The Sims!
Since its release on September 2014 for Windows, The Sims 4 has received mostly acclaim from both players and critics. However, it is often called out for its limited content. Expansion packs are a staple of any Sims game, but for The Sims 4, they are even more critical than ever. The Sims 4: Get To Work is the very first expansion for The Sims 4. Originally released in 2015, Get to Work adds more content like new careers, locations, and skills.
The Sims 4 Base Game
As mentioned above, The Sims 4 was released on September 2, 2014 in North America for Windows computers. It was developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. Since then, it has been given releases for Mac, Xbox One, and the PS4. In terms of gameplay and premise, The Sims 4 does not have a lot of differences from the older games. The biggest change seems to be with the Create a Sim function. With The Sims 4, players can now directly alter their Sims using the mouse, giving players more freedom to control the appearance of their Sim and make the role-playing more immersive. The graphics are a step-up, of course, but it’s neither a great departure nor improvement from the older games. One can simply take it as an expected result considering this is a new installment in the franchise.
Get to Work
Get to Work adds three new careers for your Sims to pursue. They can become a doctor, detective, or scientist thanks to this expansion pack. There is also a new neighborhood known as Magnolia Promenade that comes with four lots: Paddywhack’s Emporium, JF&S Clothiers, The Roadstead, and Preeminent Domain. Get to Work also introduces an alien planet called Sixam and alien Sims along with it. Players can also get to work in the retail business with Get to Work. Finally, the expansion pack adds baking and photography as new skills for your Sim.
Improves on The Sims 4
If The Sims 4 lacks content for you, Get to Work is a worthwhile expansion to get. It’s additional items, careers, and locations give users way more explorable content than what they would get by just sticking to the vanilla game. For better results, get your hands on the other expansions like Get Together, Seasons, and City Living.
