Photo file management

SetEXIFData is a utility programme that allows users to get all of their image files organised in a number of ways. By making use of the Mac ExifTool, the developers have made a specific programme to handle video and picture files.

Rename and reorganise your photos

With a large number of photographic images on your computer – some taken with your phone, some downloaded and some shot with a digital camera – it becomes all too easy to lose track of them and to end up not being able to locate the one you want. SetEXIFData helps you to deal with that issue by grabbing the EXIF dates/times from the file name of either a video or a still image. This means it becomes easy to rename certain photos or videos so that you can find them again more easily. For example, you might split up holiday snaps from design work images with a suitable file name or two. Each file name in the sequence can be incremented by time and dates with a simple numbering system. Geotags can be added at will as can information about the source device and any modifications that you might have made at a later date.

Image library maker

As a utility tool, SetEXIFData has a specific purpose and will only really appeal to people who have thousands of images on the computer. However, what it does it does reliably and without fuss.
