Survive the lockdown

The Schlenderman – Wien Lockdown game is a free survival game from Team Turbo. Set in the city of Vienna in Austria, the game will have players collect seven toilet papers at night without getting caught by the boogeyman, a scary man that blocks your path in surviving the city-wide lockdown. The game brings back the infamous boogeyman, Schlenderman, and he is out there lurking and waiting to catch those who will violate the curfew.

How to play the game

The mechanics of the game is simple. As mentioned, your goal is to collect seven toilet papers for you to survive the lockdown and unlock the next day. However, these toilet papers are scattered throughout the city, and you need to roam around to look for them. The controls are easy, allowing you to move using WASD keys or your mouse. The challenge is dodging the Schlenderman, in the form of Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

You have to be wary of him as he lurks in the dark, waiting for the right time to get you. You can put on a mask to slow him down, but doing so will also prevent you from running fast. You also only have the night—from 8 PM to 6 AM to look for the toilet rolls. There is a flashlight to help you look for them faster, but it will also lead Kurz to your location.

The Schlenderman – Wien Lockdown game is a low-budget strategy game that was made by indie developers. This is very evident in its design, which looks like it was cobbled together in a hurry to create a game. There are also a few bugs that may hinder you from surviving the game. Moreover, there have been a few cases where players had a hard time installing the game.

Scary and fun

The Schlenderman – Wien Lockdown game is an entertaining horror game based on the corona pandemic and everything that has to do with the lockdown. It has simple yet hard-to-execute mechanics, which can be challenging even for hardcore players. It is also quite scary, with the boogeyman lurking in the dark at every turn. The graphics could use some improvement, but it is not enough to stop you from having fun playing it.
