Quick iCal Entry
If you’ve ever decided not to add events into your iCal because it’s too time consuming, Quick Events for iCal may be the app for you. Add iCal events quickly and easily from the desktop.
Straightforward and Simple
Quick Events for iCal comes in the form of a small window that sits on your Mac desktop. At any time you can simply enter an event into the text box, rather than opening iCal, clicking on the appropriate buttons, and filling out all the necessary details. You have the option to add events with predefined settings, if you have a particular kind of event you tend to add on a regular basis. You simply type the even out and the app parses the relevant information (such as time, meeting type, etc).
Restrictive Text Entry
All in all Quick Events For iCal has a solid premise, but it could use more work. The main issue being that the text recognition is incredibly restrictive in what it can recognise. In short, you have to type your event in very specific way or it won’t register.
