荒涼としたSF世界でのミニマリストレーシングゲーム
Power Hover is an action racing game set in a desolate world. As well as deserts and oceans, the setting is futuristic, with the player traversing sci-fi cities and derelict structures. The race vehicle is a hoverboard, giving the control scheme a different feel to race games that involve regular cars.
The game features a minimalist art style that can be compared to games like SUPERHOT or The Long Dark. However, most would agree that Power Hover is more vibrant than those two examples.
A desolate futuristic world
Power Hover takes place in a minimalistic world that appears to be a once technological place that has fallen into ruin. The player will navigate through deserted cities, deserts, snowy landscapes, and more abstract-looking areas during the course of the game. The protagonist is a robot controlling a hoverboard that allows them to defy gravity in certain situations.
Simple gameplay
The controls for Power Hover are as simple as pressing left or right to move in those directions. As the game progresses, the player will have to get better at knowing when and where to move, but they should not struggle with the controls. The aim is to collect as much energy as possible while avoiding obstacles, such as structures and sand worms.
Fun but challenging
Most players seem to agree that Power Hover is a fun game. It also features a small narrative element to give the player a little additional content regarding the world and the protagonist. It’s worth noting that the difficulty curve is a little steep, which may be frustrating for less-skilled players.
