Give your photos that classic Polaroid look
It’s a tribute to the enduring appeal of Polaroid that in these days of digital photography, Polaroid cameras still continue to be sold.
However, there’s no denying that Polaroids have struggled to compete in the digital era and Poladroid attempts to ensure Polaroid’s survival even longer with a simple conversion tool that gives your photos the Polaroid look. The Poladroid interface simply requires you to drag photos into it and it automatically generates high-resolution pictures (400 dpi) in a ready-to-print Polaroid format.
The developers have tried to a add few realistic quirks too such as a 10 treatments per session limit like the old cartridges used to allow (which is a bit annoying in reality) plus some random and realistic Polaroid-like colors and variations that emulate all the problems that you associated with developing Polaroid pictures. These again though are rather annoying – when you just want a Polaroid picture to impress friends with, it ends up with scratches and smudges across it. It would be preferable to turn this feature off completely if you wanted to.
Poladroid is just like having your own Polaroid camera – in fact too realistic at times because it adds effects that you don’t necessarily want but it’s one of the best and easiest ways to give your photos that Polaroid touch.
