Backup Newton data to your Mac
Some die hard Mac users still hold and use a Mac Newton, the personal digital assistant launched by Apple in 1993. The PDA was never really a success but as any Mac program it still has some fame with collectors.
With Newton Connection, owners of the PDA can back up data from their Newton directly onto their Mac. Although the application lacks an installation guide and comes as a bundle of different files, it doesn’t really require installation.
Just click on the ‘NCX’ file to get it launched.
From the program’s interface you’ll be able to choose what you want to do such as synchronizing files, installing a package or using your Mac’s keyboard with the Newton.
Make sure your Newton is connected by Ethernet or that you have the proper driver installed to access it wirelessly or ATA flash memory card.
Newton Connection (NCX) allows you to backup your Newton data to your Mac desktop, import and export Dates, Names, Notes and NewtonWorks, install packages and use your Mac desktop keyboard to enter text on your Newton device.
