Move your files around more quickly
Dragging and dropping can be time consuming when you don’t know where files or folders are.
MoveCM is a handy solution because it adds a contextual menu item for moving, copying, aliasing and archiving (zip compressing) files and folders quickly into common folders. This eliminates the need to to drag and drop them. It basically works in much the same way as the “Move to Trash” contextual menu item that you get when you right click or Command click.
Administration is extremely easy using the System Preference pane to specify destination folders. The contextual menu will then consist of menu items that correspond to the destinations you specify. To access it, you have to open System Preferences in the Apple menu, then go to the “Other” section and click on the MoveCM icon. It would be better if there were a less complicated way of doing this but it’s no big drawback.
MoveCM is an excellent resource for anyone who’s tired of dragging and dropping or doesn’t like using their mouse much.
* MoveMBI: Fixed a user discovered problem with the menu items “Add Folder” and “Remove Folder” – the preferences window folder list was not updated when these menu items were selected, resulting in them having no effect. * MoveMBI: Removed the option “Make as submenu” from the Settings pane of preferences since it is not applicable to the menu bar app, only the contextual menu.
