Members: a membership and user role editor plugin for WordPress
Members is a free plugin that brings advanced online membership functions, user role capabilities, and various management tools into the popular WordPress blogging platform. For example, site admins can create custom user roles and permissions and assign them to page editors and other types of website members.
Unlike other WordPress plugins, such as Themify Builder for WordPress, Members is primarily a behind-the-scenes tool. Extensive role management options
The Members plugin adds a role editor to the WordPress admin panel. Using this editor, site admins can create, edit, and remove roles, plus assign or deny capabilities for those roles. Admins can also clone roles, which reduces the setup time when creating new roles. It is even possible to make an entire site private.
Simple integration
The various elements of Members can easily be integrated into existing WordPress themes using convenient WP shortcodes. There are also widgets you can place into any widget-friendly area of the site. The plugin also supports integration with WooCommerce.
Control the user experience
Site admins can set up a role hierarchy using the plugin, in which different tiers of users have different permissions. For example, roles can be given or denied access to the admin area. Admins can also set certain page blocks that are only visible to members with proper role permissions.
