Annotate Away

At its core, MarginNote Pro is an app that allows you to make annotations on text documents, aiding you in learning a subject matter and making it easier to reference back to at a later date. Beyond its core, however, the app allows the taking of text, audio, and video notes, as well as highlighting and sketches directly onto the document, and even hashtags. You can create a mindmap (like a flow chart), and use the app to make flash cards. It supports PDF and EPUB formats, and can convert web pages into EPUB. It also supports exporting to some degree.

A Great Learning Aid

MarginNote Pro is a very useful app, though it would be nice if it supported more file formats. It does have a tendency to use a lot of system resources, worth bearing in mind on older computers or laptops running on battery. The user interface is also a bit daunting at first, but once you’ve got your head around it, it’s a very helpful application.
