Simple stopwatch for your Mac
If there’s one thing it’s easy to lose track of in front of the computer, it’s time. MacTimer gives you more control over your time management so that you can track how many hours you’ve been behind the screen.
MacTimer is lightweight and very easy to use. It takes the format of a simple stopwatch, so there’s no fancy timing features here. Just click on ‘Set Timer’ to give a name to what you are timing, set the duration that you’d like to time, and then click ‘Start’. You can stop the timer at any time. When the clock has reached zero, you’ll hear a digital watch like alarm until you click ‘Stop’. You can then reset using the button.
There are very few other features to MacTimer, although you can minimize it to the Dock or expand it to full screen. It would have been nice if you could open multiple tabs of different timers for different events and if you could simply just set the timer to start going without a time limit. There are no skins to choose from either, although the default retro digital style isn’t bad.
MacTimer is an excellent simple timing device for those who only require the bare minimum, although it’s thin on extra features.
