A Version of macOS That Primarily Focuses on Productivity
macOS Mojave is an exciting update to the Apple desktop OS, with noticeable user interface changes. Besides Dark Mode, which has received maximum attention and love, changes have been made to Finder and Desktop too, among several other things.
Features Galore
macOS Mojave ushers in new features that have been devised keeping power users in mind. For instance, there is ‘dark mode’ that helps you stay focused better. Stacks organizes files automatically. Mojave also makes taking screenshots on your Mac quick and less cumbersome. Another cool feature is the ‘dynamic desktop’, which automatically alters its appearance in accordance with specific periods of the day. In other words, the desktop would look much brighter and warmer during the day, and dimmer and cooler after sunset.
File Management Done Well
Mojave presents Stacks, which keeps the desktop clutter-free. It does so by organizing your files automatically into related groups. You may arrange by type to see documents, images, PDFs, spreadsheets, etc. sort themselves. Also, your work can be grouped by date and project-specific metadata.Scrubbing through a stack would entail one finger movement on a mouse that supports multi-touch, or two-finger motion on a track pad. To access files, you must click the stack to expand it, and then open files you need.
