A turn-based fighting game with knights and beasts
King’s Bounty Legions lets you choose a character, and asks you to fight with monsters and enemies from different classes to build your fighters into world-beaters. There is a campaign, there are challenges, and you are able to fight with other gamers online.
Fight to build a stronger army
King’s Bounty Legions puts you in a world of medieval knights and monsters. The monsters and evil enemies are not scary, in fact, one of them looks like Yoshi for Super Mario Brothers. You have to fight in the campaign and complete quests, you have to fight PVE and PVP, and win in order to earn currency and equipment. You can only use your troops for a short while before their morale falls and you have to feed them at a tavern, which means you have to spend real money or you have to create or win food in order to feed them. There are four different races to play, there is Beasts, Chaos, Kingdom and Ancients.
A child of two worlds and at home in neither
King’s Bounty Legions has the potential to be great, and it is obvious why some RTS turn-based lovers enjoy the game, but the RPG element is so flaccid that it feels more like a game where you check in every day to see if you “Can” have a fight. The morale system is annoying for some, but the fact the game tries so hard to stop you from progressing through the RPG element is the most annoying of all. You cannot make significant progress, or play for more than an hour per half day if you do not invest real money.
