Catalog and organise any kind of information
For those that like to catalog and organize their information, iData is a flexible solution which catalogs just about anything you can think of.
iData works as a freeform database that allows you to define the data fields meaning it’s perfect for keeping track of miscellaneous information, random lists and basically anything that you haven’t been able to find a place for in other database application. It can save images and blocks of text, prints labels and envelopes and even dial phone numbers and e-mail items although these latter features seem a little unnecessary and it’s unlikely you’ll ever need them.
To open a new database, simple select File and New Datafile. You’re asked to define a save location and the fields that you’d like your database to include. Once that is done, you can enter text freely or use the toolbar to enter links, images and more. There’s nothing slick about iData – it’s a very basic, simple and effective application but if you go into the preferences, you can select the Special tab and iData will synchronize iData with external backup drives or even your WiFi connections.
Simple, easy to use and flexible enough to handle any kind of data, iData makes basic database creation easy.
Added a new dialog with many new options for sorting freeform datafiles. See the Sort Datafile link in the Edit Menu section of the User Guide for details. The Copy Record function (under the Edit menu) now maintains any text styles and non-text content found in the Freeform Text Area. (It formerly copied only plain text.)
