Free turn-based roleplaying game
Holo Dungeon is a free indie game developed by fie. Here, you will roleplay the popular VTuber Amelia Watson as she explores the forest in Chicago in pursuit of a criminal. In your adventure, you will meet various creatures. Be careful, though. Not all of them have the best intentions.
Holo Dungeon is a fan game based on Ame’s First AI Dungeon stream. If you are a fan, you will see all the things that went down in that video. Note, however, that since it is a fan-made game, it will have a short run-time.
What is Holo Dungeon?
As mentioned, Holo Dungeon is an indie game that features Hololive’s ace detective Amelia Watson. Here, you will play as Ame, who is going to explore the forest in Chicago where she believes that a wanted man is hiding. The game combines walking and interacting with other characters through on-screen text messages. Careful, though. Some characters are up to no good. Interacting with them can be bad for you.
The game uses simple controls via a keyboard. WASD and arrow keys allow you to move in four directions. Pressing shift with these directional buttons, meanwhile, lets you run. The Z key, on the other hand, allows interaction with the objects seen on the map. Finally, the ESC button opens up the game menu. Although, you will find that the Z key sometimes fails to pick up objects.
Holo Dungeon features graphics and sound that will remind you of 8-bit games. However, despite that, it comes with high-resolution and fast gameplay. However, there are still some issues to consider. Aside from the Z key failing to select objects, flags from the ongoing game also sometimes persist in the new playthrough. There are also a few bugs with the background music when entering a fight.
Is the game good?
If you are a fan of Hololive, Holo Dungeon is a fun game for you. This game captures everything from the video stream. Moreover, it presents the game at a sedate pace and high resolution. However, despite the simple controls, one of the keys sometimes does not work. Additionally, there are bugs that affect your experience. Not to mention, the gameplay is short that can be completed in no time.
