Free page builder plugin for your company and affiliate
Agency Dominion has been successfully designing websites for the hospitality industry since 2008. The company released an open-source, free WordPress plugin, called Fusion Page Builder. The plugin provides WP site administrators the opportunity to expand on their themes, layouts, and pages with Bootstrap’s responsive framework.
The plugin has over 9,000 active installations and is actively developed. There are several companies offering web building services, they are either expensive and amazing or cheap and horrible. Companies competing with Agency Dominion in this area are SiteOrigin and Eliminator.
Plugin features
To start, potential users should note that Fusion works seamlessly with any themes that you might currently be running. The Bootstrap functionality makes your site built on a multi-column grid system, thus the layout of your pages will display auto-sized to fit the device a visitor is using to explore your site.
Template and page components can be built and maintained in the fusion dashboard. The Fusion Base acts as the primary layout for your whole site. Within the Fusion Base, users can customize layout components from one page.
One downfall is that it has limited PHP code functionality. While it does offer translations into other languages, there are only two available at the moment. Still, it has excellent features if you’re only starting with developing a site for the first time.
Fusion extensions
The plugin is chock-full of extensions that all Fusion users can implement. Site administrators and designers can drag and drop extensions wherever they are best suited. Extensions that the plugin offers include videos, maps, image galleries, contact forms, sidebars, and of course a menu.
Effective page building
Perhaps, Agency Dominion has been so wildly successful or so proud, that they were compelled to offer their Fusion Page Builder to anyone who might want it. If this is a marketing tactic, it’s refreshing. A private development team distinguishing themselves by empowering the community they are themselves members of.
While it’s been said that too much of a good thing can be bad. Social empowerment from the private sector seems like a pathway to a better internet and digital ecosystem for all.
