Football Manager 2023 Mobile still retains the series’ much-loved features. Here, however, there’s more focus on a revamped recruitment system and manager profile, player feedback on your pep talks, and more. The mobile version doesn’t get every new feature from its PC counterpart but it still performs well on its platform.
The mobile version is catching up
Football Manager is a series of football management simulation video games developed by Sports Interactive and published by Sega. While you can’t play football directly with it like in the FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer franchises, FM lets you get into the nitty-gritty details of handling a professional football team. This includes recruitment, training, marketing, and live matches. FM has become one of the most popular in this genre.
In Football Manager 2023 Mobile, the improvements are different from Football Manager 2023. Here, Team Talks is now available and allows you to motivate and instruct players during matches. They will even react to your feedback. Another new feature is the Development Hub, which lets you train young players for their careers. You can loan them out to other teams for more experience or pair them with veteran teammates.
The Manager Profile has also been revamped, giving you more detailed feedback and even allowing you to add your own photo there. Lastly, tournaments like the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and UEFA Europa Conference League are all fully featured here with new licenses. However, despite it being the 2023 version, it doesn’t share the same major updates as the PC version like Football Manager 2023 Touch does.
Still has a long way to go
Nevertheless, while stripped to its bare bones, Football Manager 2023 Mobile still holds up as one of the best mobile football management games around. It doesn’t have the same changes as Football Manager 2023 but its performance is by no means subpar, even when its 2D engine is compared to the Touch version’s 3D engine. If you want simple and speedier matches, this is a good version to avail of.
