Experience FIFA Beyond The World Cup’s Borders
With their impressive gameplay and realistic graphics, sports games have become more immersive and innovative as the years go by. FIFA 19 is the 26th installment in the popular FIFA video game franchise. Released on September 28, 2018, FIFA 19 is a football simulation game developed by EA Vancouver and published by EA Sports. It features new gameplay mechanics as well as more licensed leagues and football stars. With FIFA 19, you’ll be able to become a football star through the power of video games.
New Mechanics
In terms of gameplay, FIFA 19 isn’t that different from the previous FIFA games. You take control of football players and compete against other football clubs to win matches and tournaments. FIFA 19 does have new mechanics than before.
One of the new mechanics is the Active Touch System that provides players with more control over their character’s movements. This means players will be able to dictate more specific kicks, dribbles, and flicks. The increased movement control lets users be more creative with their techniques and strategies.
Similar to the Active Touch System is the new Timed Finishing system that gives users more precision when connecting with the ball, making the user’s kicks more accurate. FIFA 19 also better tactical system so players can rely more on pre-match options to determine their team’s success better.
Game Modes and Featured Players
FIFA 19 has several game modes for both online and offline play. In online game modes, players can create FIFA Ultimate Teams and compete with other players for increased difficulty and challenge. FIFA 19 has a large selection of licensed leagues and football figures for players to choose from when building their teams.
For offline play, the two most prominent are the story and career modes. The story mode is titled The Journey: Champions and it follows the fictional character, Alex Hunter, as he tries to rise through the ranks of the football industry. Career Mode is similar, but it doesn’t have the role-playing aspect that Story Mode has.
FIFA 19 also introduces a brand new mode known as the UEFA Champions League. In this mode, players can choose their club and compete in the said tournament.
Improved, But Standard
There is no denying that FIFA 19 has improved gameplay and graphics, but it doesn’t actually push any boundaries. Whether we’re talking about sports games or just games in general, FIFA delivers a very standard gaming experience. However, it’s still an enjoyable game if you’re into football simulation games. It’s a worthwhile game to play, especially with friends.
