Convert and edit PDF documents with ease
PDFs provide a great way to distribute and share data but sometimes the format can be rather inflexible and inconvenient.
deskUNPDF gives you more power over PDFs by allowing you to edit and recover the contents of PDF documents without a PDF editor. deskUNPDF provides options to convert PDFs into Word (.doc), Excel (.xls), HTML, and many more different formats in a few clicks.
The deskUNPDF interface is easy to use if a little ‘Windowsy’ for OS X. Open the PDF that you want to convert and then you can start experimenting with different settings to convert it to the format that you want it in. You can tweak things such as the vector rasterization and image sizes of any pictures embedded in the document. You can also choose the output format of the font you’d like to use.
When you’re ready, click ‘Convert’ to switch the document to the format of your choice. You can then edit the document as you want to and reconvert it to PDF format in deskUNPDF. The results may not be exactly as you want, though. You may experience some re-formatting issues with characters missing or images slightly moved. Also, it may not ask you where you want to save the output file, although you can find this easily with Spotlight.
Overall though, deskUNPDF does a great job of allowing you more control over PDFs that you desperately need to edit in another format.
