Adds a name to your color

ColorNamePicker is a simple little plugin to find the name of any color on your screen.

It adds on to the Mac color palette and shows the name of the closest color and its hex value.

This is quite useful if you’re a designer or editing an image and need a bit more information on a color. As the developer also suggests, this sort of tool can be very handy for colorblind people in differentiating colors and tones.

There’s not much more to ColorNamePicker. It won’t really change the way you work with colors, but will at least give you a little bit of extra information.

It’s a small download too, so it really won’t hurt installing it in your Mac. If you’re curious about color names, it’s a good way of learning them and finding out what they really are.

The main purpose of this colorpicker is to give the name of the color you selected. Actually, it gives the name of the closest color. Besides the name of the closest color, the closest color is also shown and its corresponding Hex value is given.
