Slick project manager based on Adobe Air

I’m a big fan of the look and feel of applications based on Adobe Air and Colabolo is the first productivity suite I’ve tried on the platform.

Colabolo is designed for team managers who need to keep track of multiple Excel sheets, meetings, assignments and other business issues that require team collaboration. It’s very easy to use and ideal for beginners because it holds your hand every step of the way in the initial stages.

When you start Colabolo, you have to sign-up for an account which takes less then a minute. This is so that your project information can be saved on the Colabolo server and shared with other team members. Then a pop-up post-it note style tip shows you how to create a new project. When you create a new project, it then prompts you to add members that you want to be able to access it and so on until your project is defined and uploaded.

The look and feel of Coalbolo is similar to that of an e-mail client with clear menus down the left hand side indicating the different folders and trays you need to keep on top of. The nice thing is that you can create as many projects as you want and during the current beta testing stage, it is free to use the Coalbolo servers although this will change once the full version is released. Even better, iPhone support is around the corner meaning you’ll soon be able to respond to tasks via your mobile device.

Coalbolo is an elegant, functional and very easy to use project management tool which may lack advanced features but is ideal for small project managers.
