CPU and Memory Performance Monitor

CPU and Memory Performance Monitor is a free Chrome add-on developed by Amol Arjun Jadhav. As the name suggests, this tool allows users to monitor the CPU and memory utilization of their Chrome browser. It also provides the ability to monitor CPU temperature on Chrome OS.

With a default data capture interval of 2 seconds, users can easily keep track of CPU usage, memory usage, and CPU temperature. The tool also features a Chrome window/tab counter and a network status indicator.

One of the standout features of this add-on is the ability to clean up memory by discarding inactive tabs. This can significantly release memory used by background web pages and save anywhere between 0% to 40% of memory. Additionally, users can clear their browsing data with options to set a time range and clean up preferences.
