Free quicktag visual editor plugin
Addquicktag is a free quicktag editor plugin for WordPress like Jayj Quicktag, WP Quicktags, and Comment Form Quicktags that lets you quickly insert tags in any of your content. You can use specialized hooks for buttons, custom posts, or pages within the WP dashboard, changing how it appears on your site. There are also checkboxes for you to select where they’ll appear across various categories.
By default, the plugin has scripts with pre-loaded content that you can adjust if you have coding knowledge. It lets you alter it to suit your site so that you can have complete functionality. However, just one small error means it may not work, and you’ll need to reset back to the default settings.
Add quicktags to your content quickly
Many WordPress website owners use quicktags across pages and posts to display information or affiliate campaigns. Addquicktag makes the process easier so you don’t need to go into each one and past the script. You can create a line per quicktag and tick where you want it to appear, whether across categories, posts, pages, attachments, or templates.
Command within the dashboard
To make your life easier, all the commands are placed in your WP admin dashboard menu at the click of a button. All your quicktags are placed in the Addquicktag setting so you can manage them from a central location. Even if you’re working with a script in a post, you can add buttons as shortcuts to your tags. It will appear in the top menu with all the other WordPress functions.
Adjusting the scripts
While Addquicktag does have some custom scripts and fillers you can use, it’s best if you change some of the coding to suit your needs. You’ll also need to apply the URLs for affiliate links or custom images if you plan on including them in your content. Therefore, you’ll need to have some script knowledge to ensure you don’t make any mistakes.
Apply your quicktags universally
Addquicktag does exactly as the name says, presenting a quick way to add quicktags to any of your posts or pages. You can also apply rules for which types of posts they should apply to, depending on how well you know script coding.
