Flying pigs to save your screen
Whoever said the day they make a screensaver with flying pigs on is the day pigs fly will have to eat their bacon, because here it is.
When Pigs Fly! 3D Screensaver doesn’t need much of an explanation other than it’s exactly what it says it is – pigs in 3D flying across your screen at an alarming rate. The developer claims it is the most realistic flying pig simulator available although I think that’s quite a hard one to verify.
The screensaver is definitely well animated – I wouldn’t say the pigs look “realistic” – more like 3D porky pigs with wings on but it’s a good effort. The pigs swarm over a farm from where they’ve presumably escaped and fly around to a MIDI version of Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkries”. The camera zooms in and out from all kinds of angles. In the options, you can opt to turn off the music and toggle the number of flying pigs from “Not many” to “Too many”.
When Pigs Fly! 3D Screensaver is well done and a lot of fun. If you like Wagner and flying pigs, you’ll love it.
