Scan and save your documents for free

HP Easy Scan is a free application for select desktop and laptop computers that allows users with HP multifunction printers and scanners to manage their incoming documents. HP Easy Scan works in tandem with your HP multifunctional printer and scanner to adjust scan settings and create a digital file that is as close to the original as possible. Instead of relying on third-party software, Easy Scan comes straight from the source and is the official application for HP printers and scanners.

Create quality scans

Creating a great scan requires more than just putting down a piece of paper and pressing go. The scan settings in HP Easy Scan allows users to manage their documents and optimize them to create high-quality digital replicas that are as close to the original document as possible. Preset values make the process fast, but can be adjusted to your liking. With features such as multi-page document processing, text recognition and auto photographic detection, it’s a system that makes sure all facets of your document are optimized.

Easy-to-use interface

HP Easy Scan works almost like a word processor in that its main objective is to create a pristine document, much like one you would type yourself. Even for those with photos or graphics, they’re scanned with precision so they’re uploaded in the highest possible quality and saved to the file type of your choice.

Designed specifically for use with your HP scanner or multifunction printer

With features such as automatic photo detection, multi-page document processing, text recognition (OCR)[1], and PDF file output, HP Easy Scan will help you get the most value from your HP product.

Easy to use presets let you quickly choose scan settings that are optimized for whatever you are scanning. Simply place your content on the scanner, select a preset, and click the Scan button.

HP Easy Scan uses the Apple ICA scan protocol and will work with any HP device that is supported by an ICA scan driver. Make sure that you have installed the latest HP ICA driver for your product — available online from www.hp.com/support or via Apple Software Update.

Notes:
