Go, decorate your Dock

Dockables finds a clever way of accessing your most common actions from your dock. Instead of opening up windows to shut down your Mac, launch the screensaver or put your Mac to sleep you can place little actions straight into your Dock.

Dockables features a dozen or so different apps, and you can easily customize them by adding one of the different themes available. The Docksnaps can be used to separate them in your Dock.

It’s a shame that Dockables doesn’t allow you to create new apps, as it does not include every action that you carry out on a Mac. Adding them to your Dock is a good idea, but it can really get crowded, especially if your Dock is really busy.

Dockables provides you with one-click system event access right from the Dock in OS X. Dockables version 1. 0. 4 (the most recent version) includes the following features: Shut Down, Start Default Screen Saver, Restart, Empty Trash, Eject Media, Sleep, Log Out, Close Applications, Hide Applications, Mute Sound, sleep display, and screenshot — bringing the total count of System Events that you can control through Dockables up to 12.
