Pixelmon Go is a monster-collecting, navigating game highly reminiscent of Pokemon Go. In a lot of ways, it simply apes that game, from the way it plays to how it works. Players of that game will feel right at home here. Where it differs is primarily in the assortment of monsters, obviously: there’s no recognizable names like Pikachu here. But the game does have a unique, blocky art style reminiscent of Minecraft and “retro-clone” games, and it does support certain types of VR hardware for improved immersion.
