Quit Dashboard in a single click

Not all people find widgets useful. Personally, I’ve grown quite fond of them. I have my collection of favorite widgets, which I use for specific actions, like taking screenshots or transferring files via FTP.

Others I just go about discovering and testing every now and then.

Dashquit is definitely one I’ll keep in my favorite widgets. It easily handles something which Mac users rarely do, which is quitting Dashboard.

The widget shows the amount of RAM used, which you can update to reflect actual usage. Use this to monitor if Dashboard is using up too much memory and needs to be restarted.

When you press it to quit Dashboard, it’ll ask you to confirm, to prevent you accidentally closing it down.

You can easily quit Dashboard by pressing F12, however Dashquit is handy for closing it all down when you have all your widgets spread out on your interface.

The widget is also well designed and contains just what it needs.

Dashboard is an application used for hosting mini-applications known as widgets. Despite the lightweight of these widgets, when you are running dozens of them, they takes a lot of memory, especially on old computers.
