Unlike similar games, Luna’s Fishing Garden will not have you strive for high scores or beat difficult bosses. Instead, it offers a realistic simulation of fishing. With this, you can relax as you wait for the fish to eat your bait. Although, the overall gameplay is a little short. You can complete the whole game in three hours, more or less.
Cast a line, create a garden
Luna’s Fishing Garden is a 2D fishing game with garden creation elements. Here, you play as a girl named Cassie. In the story, you woke up in a spirit world after getting caught up in the storm. You are then tasked by the spirit Luna to create a beautiful garden. However, to buy the things you need for your garden, you will have to earn leaves.
The leaves are the game’s main currency, which you can get by exchanging the fish you caught. You can then buy animals and plants for your garden. You can also use them to visit the lighthouse and unlock more islands. More than leaves, you can also turn the fish in for quests. The design of the game is to complete quests and find spirits until it concludes.
There are two options for fishing. You can opt for a more challenging experience by keeping the little fish sprite in a bar when you cast your line. This version requires patience and keeping things in the right place. However, you can try the relaxing version. Here, you only have to hold the button to reel in the fish by letting go if the sprites start to wiggle.
A game for meditating
In terms of challenge, Luna’s Fishing Garden does not hold a candle to other games. The gameplay is simple, and it does not even have bosses to defeat. However, the game’s strength lies in its relaxed pace. Here, you can take your time while you fish and create your garden. Overall, it offers a short, simple, and lovely experience for casual players.
