New expansion for Crusader Kings III

Crusader Kings III: Friends & Foes is a premium role-playing title for PC from developer Paradox Development Studio. It is a DLC for the popular and highly-acclaimed grand strategy game, Crusader Kings III. It will even more medieval drama to the mix, now allowing players to form friendships, both good and bad.

Building upon the base Crusader Kings III, Crusader Kings III: Friends & Foes will feature more than 100 new events and experiences. The expansion also introduces a new and intricate memory system that lets players relive key moments from their past to understand how they shaped their present.

Determine friend from foe

When Crusader Kings III came out, it received universal acclaim and was praised as one of the best grand strategy games in recent years. It masterfully took the best parts of the RPG and RTS genres, and meld them to create a captivating experience, complete with an enthralling and unpredictable narrative that keeps pulling you in. Here then comes Crusader Kings III: Friends & Foes with more medieval drama.

As its name suggests, this DLC is all about forging alliances or devolving into enemies. Here, the relationships you have are more important than ever, influencing your present, as well as your future. Peer into childhood memories to understand your bonds more and all the other bitter moments that can serve as catalysts to dark present-day murder plots in the making.

You can also call on your close peers to help you come up with ways to get closer to your current acquaintances and aim for the coveted best friend status. All things considered, though, this DLC provides quite a poor value for its asking pricing and limited content. One would even go far as to say it should have been for free to loyal fans of the game.

Earning an enemy

If you’re a fan of Crusader Kings III, then Crusader Kings III: Friends & Foes is a decent DLC, giving you a reason to jump back in and experience something new. However, for its asking price, the amount you get is a whole lot. It will be totally up to you if it will be worth the purchase right now or just wait for a sale.
