NieR Re[in]carnation is an RPG from Square Enix. It is a command-action RPG for mobile devices, based on the NieR video game series, and is developed by the game designer Yoko Taro, with creative assistance from the producer Yosuke Saito.

NieR Re[in]carnation is a story about the main character, an angel-like being called the Girl of Light, who awakens on a cold stone floor.

The place she is in is unknown and filled with buildings that are far taller than normal.

The protagonist of the story is a girl who has lost everything and who, on her journey, must find a way to atone for her sins and reclaim what she has lost.

In order to help her do this, she is guided by a mysterious creature who calls herself Mama.

The Girl of Light is shown to have a bright personality, but wears a collar and bandages for reasons unknown. She finds herself in a place known as The Cage.

The Dark Monster, who resembles a knight in armor, seems to have some kind of goal and wanders The Cage.
