Ivory Search is a straightforward plugin compatible with WordPress 3.9 and higher. It improves the standard WordPress search by adding extra functionality like unlimited forms and configurations and performing various types of searches on your site’s content. This plugin works with PHP version 5.2.4 and up and is available in five languages.

Ivory Search lets you create and customize forms with different types of searches for your content. Using shortcodes, display these forms in various areas, like your header, footer, widgets, sidebar, or anywhere else on your site.

The plugin will look at various content formats, like WooCommerce products, images, attachments, and files. It’s easy to customize the forms with the Customizer and then track the results with analytics. It’s also possible to exclude specific content from the results. This plugin supports multilingual search and integrates with other plugins, like Weglot, bbPress, and WPML.

Search different content types

The plugin lets site visitors search different content types, like:

• Post title, content, and excerpt.
• Posts according to category or taxonomy in the title, post, or description.
• Posts with specific custom fields and metadata.
• WooCommerce products SKU and variation.
• Posts created by a particular author.
• Post with a specific status or date or several comments.
• Specific file types and posts with or without passwords.

Configuration options

You can customize your search box and display them in any area of your site that supports shortcodes. Then, decide on the number of results you want to show and if you want to highlight the search terms on the results page. You can also adjust the order of posts ascending or descending by date, author, relevance, or title. One other option is the ability to choose if you want to show sticky posts on the top of the results.
