Experience a macabre wintry adventure in Lost Constellation
Lost Constellation is a pay-what-you-want puzzle adventure game set in the same world as 2017 adventure game Night in the Woods. In this game, you play Adina Astra, an alligator astronomer moving around a 2D world to solve puzzles and interact with NPCs in pursuit of a curious mystery.
A spooky puzzle adventure
Lost Constellation has limited mechanics: you talk to characters, throw snowballs, and build snowmen, and that’s about it. The snowmen are the heart of the game — as you develop them, they will ultimately become homes for strange spirits. Gameplay is pretty simple, and the game is short, but it’s the art and atmosphere where this game really shines. Its animation is based on the appearance of paper cutouts, resulting in a game that looks like a child’s storybook come to life.
A good game for a winter’s night
Despite its simple gameplay, animal characters and kid-friendly graphics, Lost Constellation is a mature, thought-provoking adventure. It’s not long, and is more of an appetiser for Night in the Woods than a full-size game, but its compelling aesthetics make it an excellent way to spend an hour or two.
